Former England captain Rachael Heyhoe-Flint will become the first woman to sit on the general committee of the MCC on Wednesday.
"I am going to treat it with the respect it deserves and I am really looking forward to it," she said.
Heyhoe-Flint was one of the first women to become an MCC member when the all-male rule was abolished five years ago.
New MCC president and former England batsman Tom Graveney will officially begin his new role on the same day.
The 65-year-old Heyhoe-Flint was voted in as the 217-year-old club's first female committee member in March.
She joins at a pivotal time with the MCC currently undergoing a new marketing and branding policy and refurbishment of the Lord's pavilion ongoing.
