Hendrick back at Derbyshire
Former England seamer Mike Hendrick is returning to Derbyshire as full-time bowling coach.

He has agreed a two-year contract and will work with the first team squad and the club's Academy players.

"It's very exciting to be back at the County Ground, where I enjoyed some wonderful times as a player.

"I will be doing my best to help the exciting young bowlers we have here achieve their full potential," the 55-year-old commented.

Hendrick played for Derbyshire from 1969 to 1981 before ending his career with a three-year spell at local rivals Nottinghamshire.

He took 770 wickets at an average of 20.5 during his career and played 30 Tests and 22 one-day internationals for England.

Since retiring as a player, Hendrick has been involved in the coaching set-ups for both Scotland and Ireland.

"Hendo has a great depth of knowledge, and a real affinity with Derbyshire that will benefit all of the bowlers and cricketers who come into contact with him", said Derbyshire Director of Cricket David Houghton.
