Several NI hopefuls in action on opening day in Delhi

Wrestler Mark Montgomery spoke of his pride after carrying the Northern Ireland flag at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in Delhi.

"The ceremony was amazing, like nothing I had seen before," added Montgomery.

Swimmers Clare Dawson, Melanie Nocher and Sycerika McMahon will be in action on the opening day of competition.

Gymnast Luke Carson will also be in action along with NI competitors in the bowls pairs plus archery, badminton and table tennis team events.
