Harrison is desperate for another shot at Medina

Former WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison will most probably have to wait until next year for a rematch with Manuel Medina.
Promoter Frank Warren revealed that the World Boxing Organisation have ordered Medina, who took the belt away from Harrison in July, to make a mandatory defence against Mexican countryman Marco Antonio Barrera.
Harrison had been hoping for a shot at world number one Barrera, the man who burst Prince Naseem Hamed's bubble, before Medina pulled off a dramatic upset at Glasgow's Braehead arena.
Warren explained: "The WBO have told Medina that he must defend against Barrera within 90 days so it doesn't look good for Scott.
"But I haven't given up hope and maybe we can work on it and see if something can be done."
The WBO's decision will come as a blow to Harrison, who is eager to get back in the ring with veteran Medina and prove that he has what it takes at the highest level.
"Obviously I'm disappointed because I wanted to get straight back in the ring
and win back my title," said Harrison.
"But I'll fight whoever is champion as soon as I get my chance. I'm still
gutted about the loss, but I'll come back stronger than ever.
"All great fighters lose, and it's all about how you come back from defeat in
this sport."
