Portsmouth first-team development coach Zesh Rehman is set to leave the south coast club for a new footballing-based role in the Middle East.
The 42-year-old, who is involved as a member of John Mousinho' s backroom staff, has accepted a new position in Saudi Arabia.
Portsmouth plan on finding a replacement for Rehman in due course.
He joined the Pompey coaching staff at the start of the 2022-23 campaign under the guidance of Danny Cowley and after Cowley's sacking was appointed into his current role in March 2023 after impressing during a temporary period.
As a player he played for a number of clubs in England including Fulham, Norwich and Brighton.
He also had spells at QPR, Blackpool and Bradford before ending his career at Hong Kong Premier League side Southern District in 2022.
Rehman's departure is 'amicable'
BBC Radio Solent's Portsmouth commentator Andrew Moon:
Rehman was always a friendly figure around the training ground and often praised for his work with individual players.
He'd frequently watch at least the first half of games from the gantry to give a different perspective on a match.
I'm told the departure is amicable and that Pompey will replace him but the hectic Christmas fixture will delay that process.
Rehman played in Thailand, Hong Kong and Malaysia, where he started his coaching career, so a move back abroad isn't a huge surprise.
