Huddersfield Town midfielder Marcus McGuane is set to miss the entire 2026-27 season because of an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The 27-year-old, who was restricted to 13 league appearances last season, suffered the injury in training.

"We are all devastated for him, because we have seen how hard he has worked in pre-season," boss Martin Drury told the club website., external

"We now have a duty of care to look after Marcus, to make sure that he has the right support around him, and to make sure that he comes back in the best shape possible."
