Huddersfield sign Dutch right-back Bronkhorst

Huddersfield have signed Dutch right-back Ilias Bronkhorst on a two-year contract.
The 29-year-old joins as a free agent having been released by Excelsior of the Eredivisie, who he joined in August 2024.
He only missed one league match last season and also spent two years in the Dutch top flight with NEC Nijmegen.
"He's athletic and has physical capabilities that align with how we want to play," Huddersfield head coach Martin Drury told the club website., external
"He's coming from a league that requires you to be technically good but alongside this, his contributions to set plays, both attacking and defending were impressive."
