Orient sign ex-QPR midfielder Hayden

Leyton Orient have signed midfielder Isaac Hayden on a two-year contract after his departure from QPR earlier this summer.

The 31-year-old played 47 games for QPR across two spells with the club, including 30 last season after he returned to Loftus Road on a one-year deal.

The Jamaica international previously made 171 appearances for Newcastle United, having joined the club in 2016, and has also had loan spells at Hull City, Portsmouth, Norwich and Standard Liege.

Hayden becomes Orient's fifth signing of the summer and his deal also includes the option of a further year.

"His footballing ability speaks for itself," Orient head coach Richie Wellens told the club website., external

"He's played at a high level for the majority of his career and understands what it takes to win games."
