The National League has named Nic Coward as its new chair, taking up the post from 1 July.
Coward replaces the outgoing Jack Pearce, who is stepping down after five years in the role.
The new chair has a wealth of experience in sports administration, having had two spells as interim chief executive of the Football Association (FA) and general secretary of the Premier League.
Coward, 60, has also held posts in athletics, horse racing and golf, and been chair of the Cricket Regulatory Body.
"I am delighted that the National League Board has selected Nic to become our next chair," said National League CEO Phil Alexander.
"He has a wealth of experience across football and multiple sports at the highest levels, and I look forward to him bringing that deep experience and expertise to the National League."
The new National League season will begin on the weekend of 8 August, with fixtures for that and National Leagues North and South announced on 10 July.
