Rare weekend outing for Man Utd

- Published
Remarkably, Manchester United are in the middle of a run when they will play on Saturday or Sunday just three times in 11 weekends - and the TV fixtures beyond that have not been chosen yet.
After Sunday's visit of Aston Villa to Old Trafford, United's next weekend match is on Saturday, 18 April, when they go to Chelsea for an 20:00 BST kick-off.
Michael Carrick's actual news conference to preview the crucial game against Villa has been brought forward to 12:30 GMT on Friday, to allow him to watch the Premier League 2 encounter with Southampton, which in itself has been moved to Carrington from Leigh Sports Village, where it was initially scheduled to be played later.
The material is embargoed to 13:30 though, so the chances are Carrick will be out on the training pitches when it is actually published.
Come back to this page later on Friday for all the key lines from Carrick.
