Championship side Millwall have signed midfielder Jenson Metcalfe from Bradford City for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old, nominated for League One player of the year last season, has agreed what the Championship club are calling a "long-term" contract.

"We've been tracking him for a few years now," Millwall's director of football, Steve Gallen, told the club's website, external.

"Jenson was a mainstay in the Bradford team last year and possesses a number of traits that we can feel add real value to the squad."

Metcalfe becomes play-off semi-finalists Millwall's first close-season signing and is a product of the Everton youth academy.

He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Chesterfield before leaving Merseyside to complete a permanent move to Bradford last summer.

Metcalfe made 49 appearances for Bradford last season in all competitions as the Bantams reached the League One play-offs.
