Cobblers sign midfielder Briggs on loan from Leicester

Northampton Town have signed Leicester City midfielder Logan Briggs on a season-long loan after the 21-year-old agreed a new deal with his parent club.
The Wales Under-21 international has been with the Foxes for the entirety of his career but is yet to make a first-team appearance.
Briggs, who was born in Northampton, was Leicester's academy player of the year for the 2023-24 season although the club have not disclosed the length of his new contract.
"He is a player we have watched, we know a lot about and are delighted to bring in the group," Cobblers boss Chris Hogg told the club website., external
"Logan is a versatile, attacking midfield player who can play either centrally or wide, he has a lot of really good physical attributes with his mobility and pace and we believe he will be a good fit for us."
He becomes Northampton's fifth signing of the summer after the additions of goalkeeper Zach Jeacock, defenders Janoi Donacien and James Maxwell and striker Harvey Saunders.
