Yorkshire will monitor George Hill closely after the all-rounder suffered a second on-field heart scare.

Hill was unable to bat in the T20 Blast game against Derbyshire on Sunday after suffering palpitations in the field.

Yorkshire coach Anthony McGrath revealed that the 25-year-old had had the same symptoms in a recent red-ball game.

"He actually had heart palpitations in a Championship game and then he felt it again today. His heart rate was sky high," McGrath told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"The medics came to see him, he did the ECG test, and obviously when it's someone's heart you can't take a risk.

"He wanted to go back out but once that decision was made, we can't go against the medical advice.

"We'll check him, he feels OK, but with the heart you don't want to be messing and we don't want to go against medical advice. Hopefully, he'll be OK in the short term."

Yorkshire face Durham on Friday at Headingley in their next T20 Blast fixture.
