Veteran seam bowler Olly Hannon-Dalby has signed a new three-year contract with Warwickshire that will keep him at the club beyond his 40th birthday.

Hannon-Dalby, who turns 37 on Saturday, joined the Bears from Yorkshire in 2013 and his new deal will see him complete his 17th season at Edgbaston.

He began the current season on loan at neighbours Worcestershire and claimed 11 wickets in four matches for the Pears - a haul that took him past 400 wickets in his first-class career.

Since returning to Warwickshire he has continued that form, picking 15 wickets in three red-ball games.

"If you'd have said to me that I'd end up staying here for 15 or 16 years, I'd have absolutely bitten your hand off," Hannon-Dalby told the club website., external

"I've been very lucky to have been part of some great teams and hopefully in the next few years we've got some more silverware to come."

In his time with Warwickshire, Hannon-Dalby has helped the club win the T20 Blast in 2014, the One-Day Cup two years later and their first County Championship title in nine years in 2021.

He has taken 355 wickets in 112 first-class games for the Bears, including more than 50 in three seasons in a row in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Bears head coach Ian Westwood said Hannon-Dalby's new deal was "fantastic news", highlighting his desire to "push himself to get better year on year".
