Hampshire openers Maia Bouchier and Ella McCaughan shared a record One-Day Cup stand of 246 to help their side to an incredible 10-wicket victory against Essex.

Bouchier hit 136 and McCaughan made 104 as they chased their target with more than 11 overs to spare.

Elsewhere, leaders The Blaze fell to a surprising 28-run defeat by bottom side Lancashire - only their second loss in 10 group matches.

Warwickshire raced to a seven-wicket victory inside 22 overs as they reached 161-3 to beat Somerset and Yorkshire overcame Durham by six wickets.

Bouchier sends a message

Bouchier, overlooked by England for their T20 World Cup squad, starred against Essex for the second time in 10 days, following her 87 in the recent T20 match between the teams.

Her unbeaten 136 came off 114 balls and contained 18 fours and two sixes.

The London-born right-hander found a perfect partner in McCaughan who reached a century for the first time in her career off 115 balls with 13 boundaries.

The pair shared an unbroken stand of 246 to reach the target, a record for any wicket in the competition.

It meant Liberty Heap's thrilling career-best 75 from 63 balls - a maiden List-A half-century – and 56 from Jo Gardner proved in vain.

However, their efforts did enable Essex to recover from the early damage wreaked by Hampshire spinners Bex Tyson (3-66) and Amanda-Jade Wellington (2-39) to reach 245 all out.

Lancashire stun Blaze to move off bottom

A half-century and four wickets from all-rounder Fi Morris sealed a rare win for Lancashire against The Blaze.

The Red Rose, who have endured a disappointing season in both formats, successfully defended a target of 239 as their opponents could only make 211 all out despite 64 from Tammy Beaumont.

The hosts got off to a stodgy start and with returning Australian Katie Mack departing in the 16th over, Lancashire were struggling on 68-3.

Their hopes worsened with skipper Ellie Threlkeld's dismissal, lbw attempting to sweep Charley Phillips, which left the Red Rose 91-4.

Seren Smale and Morris then built the innings' defining partnership with the latter's half-century coming off 63 balls.

Morris was stumped and Smale departed for 51 but the pair had added 94 runs before Lancashire's effort closed on 239 all out off the final ball of the innings.

With the sun coming out, The Blaze made the most of the conditions and eased their way to 50 without loss.

It took until the 15th over for Vinali Weerappuli to make the breakthrough with the wicket of Marie Kelly before the 16-year-old leg-break bowler next accounted for Charli Knott stumped for three.

Morris then dispatched Georgia Elwiss and Emma Jones in successive overs to leave the visitors 98-4.

A watchful Beaumont remained and she brought up her half-century off 77 balls.

Beaumont looked to be the key wicket and it was the spin of Hannah Jones that claimed the prize when the England international was bowled, quickly followed by Ella Claridge who was stumped for two to hand Morris her third wicket.

Morris struck again as Prisha Thanawala (39) holed out to Kate Cross and when Grace Ballinger did the same off Cross, The Blaze were 185-8.

It was left to Grace Potts and Cross to claim the final two wickets as Lancashire registered a much-needed win.

Bears collapse as Somerset race to win

Spinners Lola Harris and Liv Barnes returned career-best List-A figures in Somerset's win over Warwickshire at the Maer Ground, Exmouth.

Put into bat on a dry surface, the visitors raced to 151-2 in 26 overs, thanks in large part to Amu Surenkumar's eye-catching innings of 58 from 72 balls.

But Somerset staged a dramatic fightback, leg spinner Harris claiming 4-32 and slow left armer Barnes 4-24 as Warwickshire were shot out for 160 in 33.3 overs, their last eight wickets falling for nine runs in the space of 43 deliveries.

Anika Learoyd top-scored with an unbeaten 58-ball 70 not out and struck two sixes and eight fours as Somerset chased down their target with 28.2 overs in hand to claim a bonus point win and end a sequence of six straight defeats in fine style.

Glenn & Jonassen star for Yorkshire

International spinners Sarah Glenn and Jess Jonassen combined with devastating effect to set up an eye-catching Yorkshire victory by six wickets against Durham at Banks Homes Riverside.

Durham, having elected to bat, crumbled to 64-6 as England leg-spinner Glenn and Australian left-armer shared five wickets which all fell bowled.

The hosts recovered to 193 all out on a used pitch, but Yorkshire still claimed only a third win in nine matches with 15 balls remaining.

Glenn returned 3-40 and Jonassen a miserly 2-18 before opener and captain Lauren Winfield-Hill and Erin Thomas led the chase with 65 and a senior career best 67 respectively to take them to 194-4.

Durham's recovery had been led by Grace Thompson's 40 and tail-enders Trudy Johnson and Katie Levick, who shared 62.

The pair contributed 32 not out and 31 respectively in recording the highest 10th-wicket partnership by any team in two years of this competition. This was Durham's fifth defeat in 10.
