Jersey suffered a heavy defeat in their final 50-over game against the United Arab Emirates at Grainville.

The 97-run loss came in the last of four matches being held in preparation for Jersey's final ICC Challenge League event in Qatar later in the year.

Jersey were twice beaten by Nepal earlier this month and lost by seven wickets to the Emiratis on Monday.

Julius Sumerauer took 3-49 as the visitors made 276-6 in their 50 overs.

Opener Aryansh Sharma - who scored 131 not out on Monday - again impressed as he made 86 off 108 balls before falling victim to Sumerauer.

The Jersey bowler also took the wicket of Tanish Suri (24) and Muhammad Shahdad (0).

But UAE skipper Rahul Chopra hit 47 and Sohaib Khan hit 69 not out as they made 276-6.

In reply, Jersey could not repeat their good batting form from Monday.

Opener Stan Norman's 40 proved to be the only knock from the top four batters to reach double figures as Jersey slipped to 58-3.

Jonty Jenner hit 30 while Charlie Brennan scored 24, but Jersey lost their final four wickets for 32 runs as they ended on 179 all out off 38.5 overs.
