Scottish bowlers setting pace in women’s singles & men’s pairs

Sophie McGrouther is setting the pace in Group D of the women’s singles, with the Scottish bowler making it a hat-trick of wins.

So too are Paul Foster and Alex Marshall in Group C of the men’s pairs - the Commonwealth Games veterans have brushed by Kenya, Isle of Man and Norfolk Islands without dropping a set.

Canada are also unbeaten, but the Scots met them on Friday at 16:25 BST.

On her Games debut, 23-year-old McGrouther has opened up with wins over Fiji, Kenya and Namibia to sit top of her group.

Shae Wilson from Norfolk Island has also recorded three wins from three - McGrouther meets her in the final group game on Saturday at 16:25.
