I love
the Leadmill. It exceeds even the Porter
Cottage in the enthusiastic student stakes. The beers
expensive (or not, depending on the mood of the barman), there are
just enough seats for the old gits (yes, thats me - hey; Im
pushing 27!) to sit on while watching some pretty indie boys strut
their stuff, and the food, frankly, just about passes as edible.
But
I have an enormous fondness for the Mill. It occupies a special
place in my jaded, cynical heart. I think its because its
a very sticky sort of place. The floors are sticky, the tables are
sticky, even the walls are sticky. The plastic pint glasses cause
lots of spillage, and the alcopop/mixer drinks just carry on the
party.
Which
is probably why everyone seems to end up stuck to each other at
the end of the night, in pairs of ecstatic stickiness.

I love this place the music is great any night of the week! I have been to so many gigs here shame about the size of the stage! The staff are not slow usually and the drinks are not pricey! Get yourself down here!

an alright place to end the night. beware of the bouncers when trying to collect your coat at the end of the night! very scary.

The best place in the world. Good music and cheap vodka in invincible glasses that won't break no matter how many times they're dropped. A student heaven. The text board is also good for a bit of fun on Saturday nights. 19/04/05

I heart the Leadmill oh so much. I went on saturday, it never lets me down! Went to the gig before. The Research were amazing!

The leadmill is fantastic. Gone a bit down hill saturday nights now is sonic boom rather than step on but it's still the best club in sheffield.You can also wear what the hell you like!

I love the leadmill, Monday nights you cant beat it, 60p a drink and 2.50 to get in with NUS £4 otherwise, great selection of music caters for all tastes
