Sheffield's
answer to the Met Bar (no, really,) attracts mainly the clubbing
crowd.
With
local DJs playing funky house grooves, The Halcyon acts as an unofficial
pre bar to the Bed night club on London Road.
An
undisputed hangout for the in-crowd, The Halcyon may not be everyone's
cup of tea, but extended serving times (until 1am on Fridays and
Saturdays), the dance floor and great music may twist your arm.
Arty
decor and drapes are predictably the order of the day, but for those
who are fans of the elegant The Halcyon is a must on any night out
in Sheffield.
All
the usual beers wines and spirits are available, however be prepared
to queue.

thought i had walked into gangsters paradise when i first entered but as i emptied my pockets to pay for my martini the vengaboys most famous tune 'the vengabus is coming' broke into song.ive never felt a buzz like it as i did my donkey kong walk around in circles.what i thought was gonna be a dreadful night was actually a schminkyboptastic night,yee ha.

Very out of date review / comments. the Halcyon has been redesigned and relaunched, well worth a visit...

The halcyon. The cool place of sheffield where all the in crowd hang out. Hang on, im thinking 5 years ago. The Halcyon now has really let itself down. It has falled victim to the homeboy and wanna be david beckhams who were seen in berlins last year. What has gone on? Its hard to go to the bathroom without some angry hommie wanting to start a fight. One word to describe the current state....Victim.
