Since
its refurbishment The Central Fire Station (still known by many
as Bar Coast) is even better apart from the new name!
Its
is cool both in decor and clientele. Having said that, it's not
one of those places where you feel too intimidated to walk in.
They
serve decent enough food and a wide range of drinks. Prices are
cheaper in the week especially Wednesday night which is student
night and selected drinks are 99p and there's a great DJ. Thursday
are RnB night with selected drinks for £1.50p and there are
great DJs on a Sunday night playing Funky, soulful house. Friday
and Saturday nights are the busiest with local DJs playing funky
house grooves.
Overall
a great venue and great staff too!!

Liam - Sheffield I have only been a few times and I am proud to say no more then that! The staff are slow, the seating area in the middle upstairs is full of weirdos who seem to spend the night gorping at anything that moves below! The music is ok when turned down and when it has words! Arsey crowds can be expected!
Kat Kate is right - the decor may be uber-cool but it's too dark in their to notice any of the decor, let alone it's clientele!
Kate If your idea of fun night out is to queue to get into a dark hole and then stand there for two hours occasionally smiling vaguely at someone who speaks to you (because you cannot possibly hear them over the music) then this is the place for you
Richard Been to the Fire Station loads of times, (usually on the way to a club). Always really busy and friendly with different music styles every night. A must if out with your mates.
Will Fire station rules, it is a must on a wednesday night, its packed, and at £1.09 a drink you can't knock it
carlos basic branding from a large pub group, "dress it up nice and nice people will come" is the philosophy, watch the gullible queue - are you one?
claire Top bar best music around not many bars are as classy as this one and it doesnt play cheesy music!!!!
