The comments I read here may have been true a couple of years ago but not any more. I ate there last week and got two meals for £5.95 which were both excellent. They were also with us in under 15 minutes despite the fact that it was busy. It was one of those sessions which ended up turning into an all dayer and we had brilliant service all night. There was also an excellent Dj playing laid back soul and funk. Ok there are a lot of students in there but if you dont like sharing your space with them stick to the old mens pubs you probably don't fit in anyway.

I ordered a salad marked as vegetarian on the menu and wasn't best pleased to find bits of tuna and chicken in it. The manager was very nice and apologetic about it and explained that the fish and meat had been "left on the chopping board from the last meal they must have prepared". Not good enough.

I've been in once, it was fairly empty and i needed food, it took 55 mins for it to arrive after we'd chased it up twice, its not like they were busy! how long can it take to cook sausage n chips? on that alone i would never go in again

Another robotic Scream pub, to ensure that your night will be exactly the same as every other night you've spent drinking in one of the terrible yellow messes. It gets incredibly full, has little to no atmosphere and has bad music. I see no reason at all the go here, considering how many other establishments there are on West Street

Truly, awfully dire hellhole, populated by the worst kind of slavishly sheepish people. Why drink in a pub that's exactly the same as every other scream pub across the country? I don't understand.

Expensive, lagery, with cheap decor. Great if your a lager-brained student). Its not bad, but it depends who you are - me, I'll be round the corner in the Red Deer...

Awful beyond measure - I have no problem with student pubs, e.g The Varsity is very pleasant- but this is just terrible - Impossible to hold a conversation due to rubbish loud music, impossible to find a seat, impossible to be served promptly at the bar - just really awful - like all of the dreadful "It's a Scream" joints - made for idiots,by idiots. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid if you do an honest days work for a living! Its not worth the walk to the top end when there are better, less studenty places in town!!

Thats the point....full of students! Avoid if you actually do an honest days work and like to celebrate it afterwards
