Comment
from Andy, assistant manager:
"Although The High House is deeply apologetic towards the customer's
complaint, we must stress that we were making a transition between
old and new management at the time. At the time, the kitchen was
run as a franchised operation, therefore the manager of the bar
had little input to the running of the kitchen other than the receipt
and delivery to and from the customers in question. If a customer
had to wait as long as was mentioned, there may have been a good
number of other customers also waiting. Should this have been the
case, the bartenders would have informed said customers about the
waiting time. The management would again like to apologise for the
frustration caused to the customer and also mention that the chef's
have now been replaced along with a fresh management team who are
now endeavouring to create the perfect relaxed daytime atmosphere
within the bar. Any queries should be directed to The High House,
Moorgate Street, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S60 2DA, or call 01709
837432 and ask for Andy"

goose the fubar underneath is miles better!
pete i think the greedy cow should re-visit the high house! it has been taken over by a better manager than the guy at the time andy i think hs name was! also a better chef!
Joan Belkin Well I can understand the comments about the food however the kitchen has apparently been taken over by different people now (from what I was told), the menu is value for money however the service is still a little slow. I found the staff to be very helpful, I was kept informed of waiting times and they made me feel very welcome, all apart from the man I assumed to be the manager who did nothing but sit at the end of the bar moaning and drinking. Keep the helpful friendly staff and get in new management, and the pub will make a brilliant venue for all.
