If
you fancy going to a pub with in-house music entertainment, then
The Castle in Bradway with singing landlord is the place to be.
He
does requests and is pleased to relay the menu in the tune of your
favourite song.
And
talking of food, The Castle is the perfect venue for a family Sunday
lunch and welcomes all ages.

Stavros Cracking pub, top food and drink without a chav in sight
Roger Jones Thankfully, the singing landlord has now left - he should be on the Working Mens' Club circuit as a comic where he would receive the apropriate reception! A graet pub with an interesting history. It once served as a mortuary for workers killed whilst building the adjacent Totley railway tunnel. Still eccellent food and beer but with a sane landlord.

The Castle Inn at Bradway looks like an old country pub from the
outside, inside there are 3 rooms - a very basic tap room with a
darts board, a lounge bar which is bigger and comfier, and a restaurant,
which is an extension to the existing pub, but the decor and design
means that it doesn't look out of place.
Food is available in the bar as well as the restaurant, and the
bar menu offers a good choice of tasty food at a reasonable price.
On
the bar is all the usual favourites such as Stella Artois and Guinness,
along with a selections of cask ales including London Pride, Tetleys,
Black Sheep, Boddingtons Bitter and a guest ale, normally either
Broadgauge Bitter or Deuchars IPA.
The
pub is a very friendly one, which leads to a good atmosphere, and
the landlord puts a lot of energy into ensuring everyone feels welcome!
