Eternally
popular with students, the Pomona is often the first stop for revellers
intent on boozing the night away down Ecclesall Road’s ‘Golden Mile’.
As
brash and bold as a lady of the night, you exactly know what you
are getting when you walk through the pub doors - and sophisticated
it is not.
Cheap
drinks and loud music abounds, and there is the obligatory big screen
for all those vital Nationwide League clashes between Plymouth and
Mansfield.
The
bar staff are welcoming, and the food is basic and good value.
Not
a place for the faint hearted, but definitely worth a visit if you
fancy a cheap night.
Matt Fond memories of England matches... And having to climb out the window, and back in the door to get to the bar...
