This
is the only place to be if you are a Bents Green local- especially
during the summer months, on Christmas Eve or Bonfire night.
The
beer garden is once of the nicest I know - especially when the kids
(who are welcome during the day) have gone home to bed!
The
beer is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed.
Make
sure you choose which half of the pub you want- tap room for dominoes
with the regulars or the main bar for a bit more space and more
varied clientele.
Food
is quite good- only served during the day though,
and Tuesday and Sunday the quiz will have you puzzled. The questions
are hard and the PA is poor!
Overall
though this is an excellent place for a chatting group of friends
or that quiet pint.

AJ This place does the greatest sandwich ever, the chicken and bacon club. love the quiz on sundays and the staff are awesome. everytime i come home its the first place i go.
James It's a shame that the refurbishment took some of the character away from the place (not to mention unhoming some of the senior regulars) but it's still a nice reasonable pub. One of these days my group will win the quiz!
Rob Scott The refurbishment is over!
It could be worse, and isn't quite as drastic as some Ember Inn conversions. They have kept the small room, but with no direct access to the bar. Permanent no smoking area now in the large bar.
Food is on sale everyday till 8.Beer no different really. Needs time to settle as a pub again, but it isn't as busy as Ember Inns must have wanted.
John Williams The review's spot-on... Or was! It's shut at the moment to be re-opened as one of the "Ember Inns" where evrything looks identical. See the Prince Of Wales, The Sportsman or The Robin Hood for examples!
