Absolutely
one of Sheffield's undiscovered treasures. Warm and Friendly Greeting.
Background music to suit all tastes. Full range of bar snacks or
the fabulous Jailhouse Restaurant - Cant go wrong with the sunday
lunches!!
As
for the decor, as its name suggests, its military themed with lots
to look at (Try and sneak a look in the turret an your way to the
loo!!)
Ignore
the stigma attached to Hillsborough pubs, this one is a real gem.
Just don't tell too many people!!!

Alan Sanderson Surprisingly a pub in Hillsborough that is palatable and in unusual surroundings blitzes the competetion locally. Probably due to the fact the rest are so substandard makes this pub look better than it actually is, once inside you can loose the fact you are in a busy supermarket and shopping area. The food both in the restaurant and bar areas have been excellent quality and value for money although the service on one occasion was slow, admittedly on the busy run up to christmas so can be excused. This is a less than a pub and more of a hotel bar (which is exactly what it is) and a good escape if you are avoiding the usual shopping bore in Morrisons. If you are looking for a night out I would suggest this as a start off point, a full evening might leave you yawning into your beer although a brief visit and this place is well worth a visit. I would not describe this place as a "real gem" although given the other local options I can see why it may shine brighter than the rest.
