When
I see a menu with "The best Chinese food in Sheffield"
written across the front, I cant help feeling like theyre
throwing down the gauntlet.
So,
being the honorable bovine that I am, I accepted the challenge.
The Bull was out of town, and Greedy Cat and I were tired and lonely
in the cowshed.
I placed
my order, and it arrived in good time. But I have to say, it was
all pretty bland. I fed a lot of it to Greedy Cat, who seemed to
enjoy it. But then shell eat anything.
I can
categorically state that it is not the best Chinese food in Sheffield
- I can think of three or four better places without even trying.
And there are a couple Ive had good reports of that I havent
had a chance to visit yet.
But
nice try, eh?
Bernard Grubb Tried a "Thai curry" from here the other night. Quite tasty but utterly unlike any Thai food i sampled whilst in that country for 3 months a few years back. If you're looking for authentic Thai curries give this place a miss!
Nick Crowther I love this restruant, im a fresher at Sheffield Hallam doing Nursing and i make it a necessity that me and Olly (my friend) eat here at least twice a week! My advice is go for the "duck", its out if this world!
RB What a rubbish review - The Red Ruby has beautifully cooked bean curd and proper al dente fried rice (things that most other take aways don't manage to fulfil)- Really tasty because its not the usually oily slop in a box but actually tasty
Chris If you like westernized chinese food, then yes I would agree with the above comment. However if you're after traditional chinese food (anything that isn't sweet n sour etc) then perhaps it is the best in town!
