You
probably already know about this ever-popular takeaway joint. But
just in case you dont, here you go.
The
Bilash is one of the best-known curry dispensers in Sheffield. Placed
conveniently on Sharrow Vale Road opposite the Porter Cottage, its
not surprising that in term time, it is always heaving with students.
And they know theyre onto a good thing.
The
curries are excellent and dirt cheap. The chicken tikka massala
is the best Ive had in years, and the Bull is addicted to
the chicken methi to the extent that, should he ever end up in veterinary
hospital (heaven forbid!), he has asked me to liquidise a portion
of it daily and feed it to him intravenously.
And,
if it couldnt get any better, the off licence next door makes
getting your supplies for a Waynetta Slob-themed Friday night a
breeze. 4 moos out of 5.
Fellicity mare absolutely brilliant! really reflects the truth of Biash. however theres been a failure to add anything about the hospitality received when entering Bilash.it is a very welcoming place as well as serving fab food.i wish it all the best for the future!
Kate I love the food at the Bilash, I have been coming here for 10 years! Now that has got to count for something
David The Bilash is living on a reputation from the past - when they used to serve proper curries. More often than not, now the fayre is lumps of meat with a standard sauce. Sorry guys, I will still buy form you, but not exclusively.
Mark and Catherine We've only tried the take-away, and we didn't enjoy it. We found it salty, oily, flaccid and tepid. Chef's night off?
Al We ordered from here for our Valentines meal in. It was fantastic. I had mushroom saag and my boyfriend had chicken tikka bhuna. Both were gorgeous. Garlic Nan is to die for !
