What's

What's
the grub like, then?
The food here is fantastic and is complimented by the great friendly
service. My business associates and I meet in here for breakfast
several times a week. We have never been disappointed by the varied
breakfast and lunch menu on offer.
The reason I'm writing this review is for the 'Friday Night Bistro'
having never having an opportunity to try it before I was enticed
by the prospect of an interpretation of tapas. Although the place
isn't licensed the staff are happy to recommend drinks to bring
with you to compliment to meal with.
The quality of the ingredients and the way the different courses
complimented each was simply outstanding. It was of a similarly
high standard of any of South Yorkshire's highly regarded and coveted
restaurants, of which I've eaten in many of.
What
did you drink?
Either a double espresso, made with a good quality bean and the
obligatory bottle of Hildon sparkling water.
What's
the crowd like?
Ranging from the young and affluent, to the many professionals living
and working in the surrounding area.
And
the vibe?
Excellent atmosphere, the staff are attentive and this reflects
by the way the customers react with one another.
Value
for money?
On a daily basis for breakfast for 2 it varies between £10
- £15. The tapas night was £22.50 per head and with
water, corkage and coffes brought the bill for 2 to £55.00.

Shirley Always really busy when I go in on Saturday mornings. The staff are happy to serve you with a'Full Monty' breakfast or just a toasted teacake. The 'cafe latte'served with a chocolate, is excellent and well worth the price.
RC If only every Sunday morning could be spent here. In terms of the food, the service and atmoshpere it is quite simply excellent. Come on Toby, £1.50 for a good coffee is hardly outrageous!
Raymond Partington I'd just love to know what people who describe top class places like Taste as "not the cheapest" want. If it's quality then you, rightly, have to pay for it. If you want the cheapest stick with the YMCA tearooms and let the rest of us enjoy quality without your jibing about it being more than 1p for a coffee. Tsk!!
Have never had anything other than high quality food, drink and service here and it's a favourite with every out of town visitor to my gaffe. Still, these guys were wonderful at Rafters so quality and value for money here is no surprise to some of us, except Toby evidently.
