What's
your name?
TN
Where
is it?
127-129 Abbeydale Rd,
Sheffield,
S7 1FE
What's
the number? 0114

What's
the grub like, then?
Typical Polish fare - we ate fried Russian pierogi. Reasonable sized
portions and cooked to perfection. That's 'pasta' half moons, filled
with mashed potato and cheese, fried in butter and server with fried
onions. Just like matka used to make... Lots of other typical Polish
dishes - most of which I can't spell... The dessert menu looked
very appatising, but we were fairly full - maybe next time.
What
did you drink?
He had milk (always the same - pierogi and milk...), I had coke.
There was a great range of Polish beers and of course LOTS of choice
of wodkas! Prices looked fairly good - £2 or £2.50 for
a large bottle of beer.
What's
the crowd like?
We were in early, so tehre was only one other table occupied - at
least one of them was Polish - a good sign!! Our waiter was a really
nice bloke and very helpful.
And
the vibe?
Quite quiet - it was early.
Anything
else you'd like to say?
A fair few veggie dishes, which surprised and pleased us.
Value
for money?
It was £16 for two main courses and two drinks. Knowing how
long pierogi takes to make and what hard work it is, I think this
is pretty good value.

des pejko spot on place authentic rustic polish fare. fresh filling good value try the okocim beer strong and not gassy.
Emily We went there just after it opened and had a good night. The food was ok for something different although I wasn't impressed to find pork in my vegetarian main course - apparently there are 2 dishes on the menu with the same name and one has pork in and one is veggie (in which case you'd think they would check which you wanted!). Didn't get to sample the desserts, we asked for a menu and were brought our bill! We put it down to teething problems as they had just opened. That said, I'd go back again.
