the grub like, then?
Very nice. Plenty of starters to choose from and at least 3 different
fish dishes from the Blackboard. The usual pizza, pasta and meats,
plus several risotto and pancake dishes.

did you drink?
4 of shared a couple of litres of the very pleasant house Merlot.
What's
the crowd like?
Well there was only the 4 of us, plus another small party. Much
busier at weekends.
And
the vibe?
Pleasant enough until about 10:30, when we had the very definite
feeling we'd overstayed our welcome. The waiters began to clear
the candle from the table, switch off the music. Off-putting to
say the least !
Anything
else you'd like to say?
Visit at the weekend, when it's likely to be busier and they aren't
expecting to 'close shop' for an early night.
Value
for money?
Bill was £90 between 4 which included 2 litres of house wine. fairly
good value for money, as all 4 of us chose either chicken or fish
dishes.

Karen Appalling service and appalling food. The fresh tuna was tinned tuna and the waiter didn't deny it. The garlic mushrooms, didn't have any garlic, the veggie main course had fish in it, which we were told was a mushroom!! The garlic bread was dry. The mixed seafood risotto had prawns and that was the extent of the mixed seafood and the rice was hard. We received no apology and were charged £80 for the pleasure. We will never be returning and we won't be recommending it.
Amanda Sorry, can't agree. It's a few weeks since we went, and I certainly wouldn't return. My starter of (allegedly) bruschetta with artichokes and spinach turned out to be a thick slice of toast with tinned veg - no dressing, no nothing. Main course steaks with some sort of red wine sauce were very ordinary. Lots of atmosphere as there was a big party in on the night we went, but service was not brilliant and we felt rushed.
Can't remember how much we paid for two courses and wine, but whatever it was was too much for toast and tinned veggies.
