What's your name?
Lesley

Where is it?
K-Pasa, 290 Glossop Road, Sheffield, S10

What's the number?
0114 272 8260

What's the grub like, then?
Massive portions of everything - the swordfish is wonderful. Huge bowlfuls of pasta based dishes. Chicken in white wine sauce is my favourite, as you can definitely taste each of the ingredients in the sauce. The deserts, especially the tiramisu are great.

What did you drink?
bottle of house white, lager and vodka. All were fine, bottles Stella so you know it really is Stella.

What's the crowd like?
Have been several times and whatever night you go it is busy. Weekends are absolutely packed all night so might be best to book.

And the vibe?
Great atmosphere. Have been on several birthday do's and if you let the staff know, they will bring you a flaming sambuca and sing happy birthday to you!

Anything else you'd like to say?
A great place that lives up to its reputation of being the best in Sheffield. The staff aren't bad either, I met my current boyfriend who worked as a chef there - 2 years ago!!!

Value for money?
Cost about £60 for 4 people, main, starters and wine.

I can't agree with the reviewer. The waiting staff were friendly, but a little inefficient (they were slow with drinks orders and they rushed us with our selections from the menu). Plus, the food was rotten. I was particularly disappointed with my antipasto, which was a mean looking selection of cheap Italian meats alongside a lettuce leaf or two. If I recall correctly, the menu was a (strange and somewhat confusing) mix of Italian, Spanish and Mexican - three very contrasting cuisines, and they have picked the most common denominator from each kitchen without much consideration. I wouldn’t recommend it.

K Pasa is a really friendly place, with a great atmosphere and - most importantly, huge portions of food! It is best to book though, it was totally packed when I went!

Baz

I've been too K'Pasa loads of times, the food has always been terrific. We had our Xmas do there a couple of years ago, and everyone loved it.

Thought the food was well below par. We both had a chicken in sauce dish, sounded very different to each other on the menu but when it came they tasted almost exactly alike. It wasn't very tasty at all and I thought it was overpriced.

I think k pasa is great. ive been quite a few times now and will be going again soon! the portion sizes are big but at least you wont go hungry! Went there for my birthday too and so far i have had 2 free flamin sambucas, great stuff. I highly recommend this restaurant but if you have a big party going make sure you book a table.

I dont agree - I have been back to this restaurant twice now and one the meat has been bland, overcooked and luke warm! The other time I had paella and the rice tasted like it had come from a packet! Won't go back again!! 27/05/05

sally
Absoloutly love it! The food is great, decent portion sizes and reasonably priced. Good range of drinks also reasonably priced. Staff are fantastic. Highly recommend a night out here, but booking advisable as always busy.

hellen
don't agree either..food was poor (cheap, grissly meat, tasteless sauces) & overpriced. staff paid more attention to large parties & had to be sought out fr service.

Alex
dont agree, wasnt overly impressed by the food and felt that the wine portions per glass were measly

We held our Xmas 03 office party at K Pasa and highly recommend it. We really liked the fact that we didn't have to pre-order the meals weeks in advance, despite there being 12 in our party. The atmosphere was fantastic, the service friendly and prompt and the bill was very reasonable. We all enjoyed the great food and wine and would go back again. A perfect party place !
