Beighton,
Sheffield,

S20 1NZ

What's the number?
0114 251 1821

Damons is an experience. Sit down at the table and chew at their lovely malt loaf with warm butter. Starters arrive promptly and are delicious, Damons ribs are entirely wonderful and spoil you for any other ribs. Highly recommended

What did you drink?
Manhatton cocktails are superb as are Margharitas.

What's the crowd like?
Lots of birthday people as the birthday gets their meal free and everybody dressed up and jolly.

And the vibe?
Lovely, with waiters singing Happy Birthday every few minutes

Anything else you'd like to say?
Free birthday cake and meal with proof of DOB and takeaway version available. We love Damons

Value for money?
Reasonable value for money. Cocktails between £4.50 and £4.95. Starter and main about £35 for 2 but food wonderful

Damon's would pass the Ronseal test, i.e. it's meals are what they say they are and not too pricey, however... we're there to eat, not paint a fence. I remember this place when it first opened. Since then, the portions have shrunk, the carpet hasn't changed and the staff still don't seem to understand the difference between the lights being on full chat or dimmed to near pitch black. To be fair to Damons, the ribs are significantly better than most places in Sheffield, the onion loaf is great if not a bit greasy and the warm malted bread is great. The mains are ok, but not amazing. Usually good for a party. A steady 3 out of 5.

Amy, Sheffeild
The place is ok but agree very noisy. The best bit of damons is the bread you get b4 the meal oh my god its great love it, i just go for that. The foods good but far too much sauce on bbq ribs should just have a side sauce. should make it bigger and kids only on certain nights.

Went for my Grandson's 18th there were 17 of us & it was Brill. From walking in to walking out. Service excellent, food excellent everything about it was great.

id just like to reply to fatblokes comment on how the prices go up, they dont alter from midweek to weekend they alter from lunch at three!!!

Eaten here a few times, as various people have chosen it for birthday parties for the free meal. The free 'cake' however is absolutely tiny. Ribs are good and portions are big. However, onion loaf was unbelievably fatty and covered in grease. Prices for food weren't cheap but ok. Cocktails and drinks were expensive and the puddings were small. Service by the waitress was good, but I noticed they had considerably overbooked the restaurant and people were left waiting a long time. Finally, have never seen a more hideous carpet in my life. Overall, ok but nothing special.

Tony, Woodhouse
Damon’s appeared to have a fast food atmosphere but not fast food prices. We were kept waiting for our table for forty minutes. I know delays are possible but a complimentary drink would have helped ease the wait. Found the service was good, when we reached our table, and our server was helpful. We had the chicken wings starter, both buffalo and sweet and sour flavour. The sweet and sour were scrummy but the buffalo was yucky. For the main meal my wife had the BBQ ribs which were cooked so beautiful and tender but she found the more she ate the sicklier it became because of too much sauce. I found the same with my Char Sui ribs but I had this accompanied with breaded chicken strips and a honey and mustard dip. When I tried the chicken strips and dip I thought I died and went to heaven. Damon’s reminded me a little of Tony Roma’s, who are unfortunately not in our area. Similar menu and prices, but far classier and have entertainment thrown in which is better than listening to happy birthday every few minutes. They have a greater choice of flavoured ribs with the sauce cooked into the meat rather than smothered on top. Hope they choose to locate in this area. Altogether our Damon’s dinning experience was OK but they could do better.

ive been to damons about 3 times now and although the food is to a great standard and the cocktails are divine, i find it loud and overbearing at times. the amount building shape just amplifies the noise from all the screaming kids and as said, the constant choruses of Happy birthday can get a bit annoying to say the least. good food, crap atmosphere.

Sue
Been going to Damons in Sheffield for the last 6 years. The atmosphere is great and ribs are out of this world. I'd class it as cheap and cheerful and in need of a revamp.

Your all mad !!! I went there with my Wife for her birthday. It was Loud (the idiots screaming happy birthday didnt help!) the Service was poor and the girl who served us was rude, and the prices (you have to agree that £18 for a steak the size of a beer coaster was close to criminal !!). The food was pretty poor too. McCain oven chips yummy they must have taken alongtime to prepare! The only bonus was the ribs. I have to agree they were nice but I wont be going back just for them. To summerize, I have either had a bad experience of the place or you guys are suffering from partial loss of hearing and a medical condition that affects the tastebuds (no disrespect intended!) If you want an evening discussing life with your friends and savouring the good food then I would suggest going somewhere else !

Jackie

food great, service ok but too many large party bookings for comfort.watch out for the menu's the eaxct same meals go up in price from 8.95 to 11 quid from midweek to saturday nights. i eat there once a month so i should know.

Nathan
Damon's is fantastic, we have one in Lincoln, we go there a lot weathers its breakfast lunch or dinner! The ribs are the best - you just have to try them! Its just a great place to eat!

mel
i have been to damons on several occasions and loved it. i went last year for my birthday and got a free meal and birthday cake. (the waiters also sang to me, i could have died!) everyone i know likes damons. its good vfm too.

Al
Have only been here once and probably won't be eating here again as now veggie but on the whole thought the food was very good. The onion "loaf" is fab for digging in and sharing and the ribs were tender and sticky. A thing which let the place down - the building is like sitting in a Mecca bingo hall - didn't like it.
