What's
your name?
Claire
Where
is it?
BB's, Division Street Sheffield
What's
the grub like, then?
Gorgeous. We had garlic bread to start and then spagetti Bolognase.
The portions were huge and sadly we couldn't eat it all, although
we tried very hard!
What
did you drink?
It's a bring your own wine place.
What's
the crowd like?
Mostly couples but there were also groups of friends.
And
the vibe?
Pretty quiet and chilled, soft music and candles on all tables.
Anything
else you'd like to say?
We will definatly be going again, it's one of the best italian meals
we have ever had.
Value
for money?
It cost us £17 all together for the two meals and one starter. We
would have gladly paid more as the food was superb.
Paul I thought BBs was awful and one of the worst Italian meals I've eaten. I'd heard such good things about this place but was very disappointed after trying it out with some friends. I found the food stodgy, greasy and badly cooked (and then overcooked in a microwave). Would never eat here again. There are far better Italians than this is Sheffield.
Ann Great atmosphere although it is a little bit of a squeeze as per a previous review. Meals have generally been good but I must comment on their smoking policy. Its allowed as long as smokers take other diners in to consideration. However, this would be quite difficult as the tables are so close. We had a group of women who had finished their meal chain smoke through the rest of their bottle of wine while we ate all our meal-not at all pleasant. Because of this I would definately think twice before going again
Alan Sanderson My first experience of BB's was one of slight disappointment. I was promised great things from this eatery, value for money, quality food etc. The atmosphere I would describe as overcrowded, too many tables filling up tiny spaces not an intimate meal for couples unless you like everyone to share in your business. On the plus side the food is excellent value although my calzone caught fire and had a dark crust under the bland bolognaise sauce smothered on top. The staff were both attentive and friendly and if you are looking for a cheap and cheerful night out with friends or partner, you could certainly do worse than this place. I would like to see a more authentic Italian feel, not just a Ferrari flag and a few dodgy pictures adorning the walls. A huge happy 30th to the un-named in our party, enjoy the REAL Italian experience next week!!! P.S hope the taste of the free fiery drink has extinguished.
jim not bad, although i don't know where the huge portion comments came from! the food is nice, but the staff seemed a little pre-occupied with other diners than us, and that's a touch impolite. The prices were ok, but there are nicer places in sheffield to go than here.
heather This is a wonderful italian, the food is fantastic. I have been many timeseither in a couple,or with groups of friends, often just with my 9 year old son. His particular favourite is the dessert Death By chocolate!!The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the service is excellent.

rob we have been going her for nearly 2yrs and our potatoes were burnt once, other than that its been fantastic, its clean, its friendly, the portions are a good size and you dont pay corkage ( unlike many other places we have been) 10 out of 10 we feel
Duncan Railton When I went last year, the Vegetarian pizza has meat on it, the knives and forks weren't all clean and my meal was cold and poorly cooked...
Ali This place is a true gem !! We tried it for the first time recently and thought it was fantastic. My boyfriend is a bit of a pasta afficionado and he thought his dish of penne pasta with chilli, tomato and peperoni was the best he's tasted in ages! I chose the halibut which was perfectly cooked in a light tomato and herb sauce. Shared garlic & chilli foccacia which was scrumptiously thin and crispy. We also shared a big wodge of bailey's cheesecake for dessert - truly yummy ! We will be back for more - highly recommended !!
