Ok - so the food could maybe be better, but thats not the point.
Balti King is a legend in its own life-time with students from both
Universities (though Sheffield Uni is closer).
This place never seems to close, and nocturnal students take advantage
of this. The Madras, Korma and cheesy Naan are the highlights.

Very good value, and you can pick up a 50% discount in most pubs
around Broomhill.

This place really has fell apart, the portions are tiny and the service is terrible. The last time I went a waiter spilled lager all over the table and did'nt return to clean it up. It was very good in the past and the guy who runs the show is very pleasant. A shame really.

I have eaten in restaurants and hotels all over Europe and in the USA.
Without doubt the meal here was the worst I have ever had served anywhere - cold, greasy, stale and tasteless served by a surly staff who couldn't give a stuff even when they brought the wrong dishes. The rice was cold, sent back and returned tepid - how can you get that wrong?

I was a student in Sheffield and this place is rubbish. How you can place and order and it be with you in 3 minutes is beyond me. Food looks bad and tastes bad. I also made a £100 bet with my mate that I'd never go again for the duration of my studies. I won. Full of drunk students with intoxicated taste buds who know no better. Enjoy the free mug, t-shirt and pen they give you in Fresher's Week, but there are curry houses in Shef far deserving of your student loan/ month's wages!

Have been to the Balti King many times. Early in the evening with the family and later after a few drinks. The food is always good and the service too. Have also had food delivered at home and it is always to the same high standard.
