What's
the grub like, then?
Fantastic! It is advertised as mediteranean food but is more north
african/arabic in nature.
Every
night there is an "all you can eat for £5.95" which
allows you to choose from a variety of dishes including rice, salads,
chicken or lamb in various sauces, and vegetarian dishes such as
vine leaves or aubergine based dishes.
There
were a couple of arabic people in our party who were well impressed
and several other arabic people in other parties who seemed to like
the food.
What
did you drink?
There is only a limited range of beers and lagers stocked - budweiser
and a german lager, for instance, but wine is lovely and they do
the usual shorts. A couple of people had one of the range of cocktails
that they offer - which are served in huge margerita glasses!!
What's
the crowd like?
We went on a Thursday night. There were several large parties there
as well as couples and smaller groups. Staff were very pleasant
and helpful, and very efficient.
And
the vibe?
Spanish type music played in the background but was quiet enough
to comfortably talk over.
Anything
else you'd like to say?
Feels very strange when you walk in as there is lots of blue lighting
around but once you get used to it you're fine. Fantastic food -
will definitely be going again!!
Value
for money?
Cost £5.95 per person for all you can eat, and we ate loads!
Drinks are usual town prices and cocktails are £3.95 but are
huge!!

We travelled from near Penistone to this restaurant on the strength
of Lesley's review, and were justly rewarded.
The
eat all you can buffet must be the best value meal in town. Excellent
range of superbly cooked middle eastern dishes, including vegetarian,
full of flavour.
Whilst
I agree the decor leaves a bit to be desired, the food is well worth
a visit, and the cocktails really are awesome!
Samantha Alley Way is now the Noodle Inn - another in a long line of these types of restaurants clamouring for space on London Rd
Andrew Sadly, the Alleyway is no more. It's been taken over by a noodle bar
Andrew The food's now £7.95, but it's still good value. I fully agree about the decor - it's very off-putting - but that just means that if you do go, there's more chance of getting it to yourself. I went with a party of nine, and we had no trouble booking. The food's basically Iranian, and the two Iranians in our party were impressed.
