I quite
like the Millennium Galleries cafe, you know.
They've
a nice menu here, and it's a very well thought-out spot.
The
tables aren't too crammed together for a greedy cow and her hooves
to negotiate, either, as can sometimes be the case in café/bistros.
I've
had lunch here a few times due to its proximity to my dear friends
at the BBC. There are nice salady things, sandwiches, main courses,
yummy but desperately unhealthy croque monsieurs (I'd bet it's deep
fried along with the dainty yet devilish skinny fries) and naughty
treats for pudding - the panacotta is a real lift if you're having
a difficult day.
The
Bull's mother reports that the afternoon tea is a winner, as well.
The
only downside that I've experienced is that the waiters and waitresses
seem to spend their time chatting to each other and wafting about
in a studied artistic way, avoiding all eye contact with the punters,
so that it usually takes a foolishly long time to get served.
It's
not that there aren't enough of them; personally, I'd give them
a good kick up the backside and I reckon there'd be a swift improvement.
But
all in all, a pleasant enough place. Might just reach four moos
apart from the service.

me and a fiend popped in for lunch and we were very impressed it was light spacious and the food was good too

I love this place. Their menu choice is small, but well done. Nice price for what it is. Tried their chicken salad once, and the meat is not tough, which I am impressed with. Nice place to go if you wanna meet up with friends, or to take lunch after a heavy shopping day !
