the grub like, then?
Yummy pancakes with all sorts of fillings. You can be as adventurous
as you like - I only had ham, chesse and pineapple, but it was very
tasty.
They
also do waffles... i'm going to try the chocolate and marshmallow
one next time! Yum!
What
did you drink?
Huge selection of smoothies and juices and you can pick pretty much
any combination off the menu. I had strawberry, orange, mango and
kiwi.
What's
the crowd like?
All sorts - its on the main thoroughfare in Orchard Square so it
attracts anyone who's passing.
And
the vibe?
The staff are friendly and work hard. It's an open fronted takeaway
bar so not that much to say.
Anything
else you'd like to say?
They do gluten free batter so you can have a waffle or a pancake.
My husband (who suffers from coeliac's disease) is delighted! He's
been there four times in under a fortnight!
Value
for money?
It's a wee bit expensive I suppose. but given how fresh they are
and if you compare it some of the sandwiches elsewhere, not too
bad.

Fired with enthusiasm from the comments by Alex (above), and the fact that her husband is Coeliac, which I am, I travelled from Barnsley to sample the gluten-free pancakes at Double Doutch. Unfortunately, the response to my enquiry at the counter was 'We don't have anything mixed'. I was gutted!

I agree, everythings delicious there! The smoothies are amazing and so healthy, Try the Mango, Lemon and Orange it's so refreshing!
