Tim The Dog realy is excellent, can't fault it. I think there might be something in the water there because the Waggon and Horses down the road is just as good.
Mel Large family outing got short shift at the bar due to 4 children in party of 11 but 100% excellent service from food waitress in back room, could not do enough for us.Bar service poor what a contrast.
Kathryn We went to the restaurant last Saturday and while the food was very good, we did find that there was not much choice on the menu. A lot of the dishes e.g. gammon and fish and chips are not served on a Saturday. Maybe cause they're a good £3-£4 cheaper than the dishes that are served on a Saturday!
My husband had a starter and we both had a main course plus a glass of wine and a beer and it came to £35 which was reasonable and worth the money.
We had previously eaten lunch in the pub last year and were impressed with that.
We'll definitely go again but maybe on a Friday night when there's more choice on the menu!

jackie we were the only customers apart from two locals the steak cost much more than
£8.50 and was very average-
has the pub changed hands since your other reviews?
we only went because of your reviews won@t make that mistake again!
Lindsey Spot on review. Dog and Partridge @ Bord Hill is great. Proper grub and good service, they are really good if you want something different. Could do with serving on a Sunday night though.
