The latest results from Chile indicate that a large majority has voted in favour of changing the constitution introduced by the dictator General Pinochet. The first of a number of judicial panels, set up to investigate police abuses in Nigeria, begins its work in Lagos today. The political crisis in Thailand is being debated in parliament as protestors demonstrate for a second day against the powers of the king.
