The Indian government has issued a presidential decree revoking the special status of Jammu and Kashmir -- the country's only Muslim-majority state. Hong Kong's chief executive, Carrie Lam, has said her administration will stand firm in maintaining law and order, as pro-democracy activists try to enforce a general strike. Two more mass shootings in the US - one being treated by the authorities as domestic terrorism.
