The US trade representative, Robert Lighthizer, said he was concerned they unfairly targetted American companies. In Sudan, the ruling military council and civilian protesters are due to form a transitional power sharing government. The announcement was made on Friday - but the deal hasn't been signed yet. For over 100 years the Chicago Defender has been a vital news source for African Americans. For much of that time Black voices were largely excluded from mainstream media platforms.
