A member of Sudan's ruling military council tells BBC Newsday that the armed forces will not accept a civilian majority on an interim power sharing council. A cholera outbreak has been declared in northern Mozambique a week after Cyclone Kenneth hit the area. Uganda's authorities have ordered over a dozen radio and television stations to suspend staff after accusing them of failing to meet broadcasting standards.
