The Bearsted Woodland Trust is a local charity founded in 2003 when Bearsted resident Richard Ashness bought land at Church Landway from developers. The original ten acres has since been increased through bequests with the trust very keen to attract younger people to the site with various activities and plantings taking place to take its conservation forward into the future.
