Buckingham Palace have said "appropriate action" will be taken after reports a member of its staff, a 24 year old woman, was arrested on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and being drunk and disorderly after a Christmas party in London this week. The Public and Commercial Services Union warned workers could bring legal claims for discrimination if they're not invited to Christmas parties....as a gathering outside the office is still a work event. Meanwhile, a survey by the jobs website CV-Library found that around 47 per cent of companies are not going ahead with a party, and if they are staff may have to pay for the privilege to be there themselves.
