Thousands of farmers have protested in Westminster against government changes to inheritance tax. The Chancellor announced in October that farmers will have to pay a 20% tax on assets worth over a million pounds from April 2026. There is currently no tax on inheriting a farm. The move has angered farming groups who say it will force many farms out of business, but Number 10 insists that won’t happen. Nicky Campbell asked 5 Live listeners if they are with the farmers?
