Sir Keir Starmer has come in for criticism for accepting gifts of clothes and glasses worth thousands of pounds from a Labour donor. There’s no suggestion of any wrongdoing: the donations from Lord Alli have been declared on the parliamentary register. But is it ok for senior politicians to accept gifts on this scale?
