The Chancellor has announced changes to child benefit, the way overseas wealth is taxed and a national insurance cut in what's likely to be the final budget before Britain goes to the polls. Jeremy Hunt spoke for more than an hour in the Commons - with Conservative backbenchers listening eagerly for measures which might prompt a change in their political fortunes. But there were no big surprises. Instead Mr Hunt boasted that the government had turned the corner on inflation - and that he was offering permanent cuts in taxation. The Labour leader, Sir Keir Starmer, responded that the budget was the "last desperate act" of a party which had failed. So what does it all mean for you and your money? In this 5 Questions On podcast - our experts, Kevin Peachey and Helen Catt, guide us through the economics and the politics. Image Credit: BBC
