Should football give blue cards the green light?

The International Football Association Board - which makes football's rules - is going to trial the idea of referees issuing a blue card for dissent or cynical fouls. It would mean the player has to spend 10 minutes in a sin bin. We’re still awaiting details of when it will start and which competitions it will involve, but it definitely won’t be at the elite level yet. Sin-bins have already been used in the grassroots for dissent, and they’re used regularly in rugby. 5 Live listeners told Nicky Campbell if they liked the idea of blue cards.
