After hours of late-night talks, the green light has been given for Northern Ireland’s government to resume business. The Democratic Unionist Party will lift its boycott of power-sharing at Stormont, where the Northern Ireland Assembly sits, after leader Sir Jeffery Donaldson announced his party's executive had agreed to proposals from the British government. It was a dramatic late-night announcement after a meeting that lasted hours – and was plagued by security issues.
